Originally licensed as a massage therapist in 2002, Gretchen brings more than two decades of professional experience to every appointment. Her tailored approach draws from traditional Thai massage, therapeutic bodywork, Reiki and breathwork.

Where does Day SPAtacular travel?
Day SPAtacular serves Wilson and Sumner Counties as well as surrounding Upper Middle Tennessee. Share your location in your request so travel availability and any location details can be confirmed.
Can I book for an office, wedding or event?
Yes. The mobile spa comes to corporate events, weddings and private gatherings — it parks at your location, and every massage takes place inside the spa. Include the event location, date, approximate guest count and desired service style in your request.
Do you offer chair massage for offices?
Yes. Day SPAtacular brings corporate chair massage to your workplace — fully clothed Thai massage sessions inside our luxury mobile spa, parked right at your door — appreciation without any intrusions to daily workflow. Sessions are 15 minutes each, and one therapist can cover up to 16 people in a 4-hour visit. Four-hour minimum. Fully insured, certificate of insurance available on request. Three massages, each made your own
No two sessions at Day SPAtacular are alike. Every massage is custom and tailored to your specific needs — your comfort, your pressure, the places your body is holding the day — and that includes aromatherapy: your scents are chosen with you, for you. Here is what each of the three massages actually is, so you can choose the one that sounds like the care you need.
Custom Traditional Massage
The Custom Traditional Massage is Gretchen's signature table massage — and “custom” is the whole point. Rather than following one fixed technique from start to finish, it is a blend of different types of massage, woven together in a single session and shaped entirely around you.
Every session is tailored to what your body needs that day. Your therapist focuses therapeutic attention on the shoulders, back, or hips — the areas where most of us hold tension — while the rest of the session stays deeply relaxing. Pressure and technique are adjusted throughout, so you get exactly the right care in exactly the right places.
It is the most flexible of the three massages — the right choice if you are not sure what you need, or if what you need changes from one visit to the next. Before your session, Gretchen listens first; the blend is built from what she hears and feels from your muscles.
Custom Thai Massage
Thai massage is a completely different modality from table massage — a tradition of its own, with its own rhythm and its own way of working with the body. There is no oil and no undressing: you stay comfortably clothed while Gretchen guides your body through assisted stretches, gentle rocking and deep, rhythmic compression along the body's energy lines.
Where a traditional massage works on the muscles, Thai massage works with the whole body in motion — opening the hips, lengthening the spine, releasing the shoulders and restoring the easy range of movement that long days at a desk, behind a wheel or on your feet quietly take away. Many clients describe it as someone doing their stretching for them, and leave feeling taller, looser and quietly energized rather than sleepy.
Gretchen trained in Thai massage through the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy, and — as with every Day SPAtacular session — your Thai massage is custom and tailored to your specific needs: your flexibility, your comfort and the areas you most want opened and eased set the pace.
Custom Stress Relief Massage
The Custom Stress Relief Massage is built for the days — and seasons — when life has been a lot. It may incorporate Swedish massage, the gentle, flowing style known for unhurried, intuitive massage movements and a slow, calming pace: a combination chosen to quiet the nervous system as much as to ease the muscles.
The pressure stays soothing rather than deep, the rhythm stays unhurried, and the session keeps its attention on the places stress settles first — the neck, shoulders, jaw, scalp and back. It is less about working something out of the body and more about letting the body stand down.
Like every massage here, it is custom and tailored to your specific needs on the day: if your shoulders need a little more, they get a little more; if you simply need stillness, the session makes room for it.
Aromatherapy, tailored to you
Aromatherapy at Day SPAtacular is blended just for you. Because every massage is custom and tailored to the client's specific needs, your aromatherapy is chosen with the same care as your massage itself — scent is personal, and what soothes one client may not be what soothes another. Your blend is built from what she hears and feels from your muscles.
In the Layer of Luxury package — and in The Escape — aromatherapy is included, and you have the choice of several options for your aromatherapy scents. Before your session begins, you and Gretchen choose the scent that fits how you want to feel: something calming to deepen the rest, something bright to lift a heavy week, something warm and grounding when you need to feel settled again. Your choice is then woven through your whole session.
